40th anniversary of its uk release I believe! To celebrate I shall be listening to both kinds of music!
One of my 'go to' , feel good films - a timeless classic Lots of favourites but Cab Callaway brings it all together as the bluesy janitor .. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

+1 got Cab Callaway, brilliant! I always quite surprised at how much was cut from the TV version...the uncut original hangs together much better as a story.
There's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Lady blessed accelerator don't fail me now! A phrase that I still use. I have all four albums that regularly listen to. Fave being B Movie Box Car Blues. Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
I don't remember seeing a TV version, first saw it on Betamax at my mates house. Got it on DVD twice now Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
There's odd bits cut, like when Elwood hands in his notice to take the vows of the cloth and "borrows" the spray glue. Your then left wondering, later on, where he gets the spray glue when he starts sobtaging various vehicles.
