  1. I've narrowed down my choices of full width R&R bed to bluebird and Volkswares

................but which is best (que Harry Hill quotes ;D)

hopefully going to order it next week but still cant decide :dizzy:

Only ever heard good things about the bluebird ones. Never heard of the other lot.

  3. I've got a Volksware 3/4 bed, great product.

Well built, easy to put together, easy to fit, mechanism works well...Can't fault it at all...

Never touched a bluebird one to compare, sorry.

  4. Got the blue bird one its good quality . 8)

I have the 3/4 bluebird if you want to have a look.

  6. Mines volkswares, a seam broke and they couldn't get a replacement to me quick enough, they posted it by courier 20 minutes or so after the call. I was so impressed i took the broken part back to them at a show and handed it to them whereby they offered me 10% off anything i wanted.

The bed does what it says on the tin. It's my first bed in the van so i can't compare other than to say it went in easy, works and their support was brilliant.

Worked on a van with a full width blue bird one last week.
Its made of small box section that bends in the middle, I would like to see it bit stronger with supports in the base.

The paint finish wast the best.

  8. we have a bluebird bed 100% happy with it

  9. thanks guys :D

.......I still cant make up my mind now as you all seem to think they are both good ;D

Might have to take a closer look at HorTs and Tezzahs ;D

  10. To be honest when I was choosing between the two it really came down to a straight choice between the two.

Both have great reviews, both seem to do the same thing, and both will have people giving good reviews.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either in the grand scheme of things.

I bet you wouldn't put this much thought into a new bed for home.... That you spend the other 340 nights of the year in......

    ;-)

  12. your right madfrankie, theres not much in it. I might phone them and find out which uses the biggest box section and the thickest metal........and look at HorTs and Tezzahs and compare hinge mechanisms .......or just toss a coin ;D

  13. We fit volkswares beds in all of our campers, although it does depend on whether you want fixed or loose cushions, we have volkswares beds custom made to have lugs instead of mesh now if the customer wants fixed cushions as otherwise your drilling through the box section.
bluebird did theres like this anyway. well used too, did see one of theres with a big plate of steel and holes in it.

    Thanks Scott.
