Replaced it late last year and needs replacing again already!!!

Seems oil is peeing out, it's got into the heat exchanger... Had a bit of a fright when I saw smoke coming out of the heater vents on dash...

I'll see if I can find a good quality one as the new one is actually worse than the old 'original' hard solid thing that I took off!

Well after replacing the bellow just a couple of months ago and hardly driven anywhere its expanded and is leaking already.

This is the old part that I replaced with an new - replacing JK with VWH

So as the JK one lasted longer than my VWH one I'm going to get a new one from JK again.

    Why oh why....

  3. Send it back to VWH and ask for a refund! Hassle, but worth doing. Hopefully, they'll realise their product is Marmitee.

If its any help (I've just responded to your request for one) I did use a cable tie on my one as I wasn't overly confident that it would hold because it is just sooooooo soft. It only seems to hold on with luck, wishes (today is fairy day so make a wish ) and hope.

Trick with the cable tie is not to do it up too tight but just tight enough to hold it over the flange.

  5. A few years ago I made one from an old HT lead rubber that went over the spark plugs.

That sounds like a plan. And much stronger rubber too. They really are the cheapest bits of rubber.

Just had a look on the VWH website:

    Quality: Repro quality.

And someone's given it 5/5 in their review.

  7. It worked really well.Considering that we used it as an emergency solution as well.

I'm feeling a new TLB competition coming. How many things can a HT lead for a bus be used for??

If you try very, very hard, you can use fuel pipe, but it's a bitch getting it on the filler end.

  10. There is something about the quality of rubber used on aircooled bits, I bought some new steering arms for Winnie 4 weeks ago, looked at them yesterday and they were split - a month and they have gone from being new parts to an MOT failure.....now that is rubbish!! :(

Complain or we'll keep being fed this carp.
