Jim at Nomansland Garage ( in Nomansland, just up the A36 towards Salisbury) He's a volvo trained mechanic, been looking after my cars for years. Really good bloke. And also has a Bay (although not sure if it's early or late ;)) so will be looking after mine for me too now!

  2. Also remember if its due a cambelt , MOT station might refuse to MOT it , or they wont cover you if the belt goes whilst their revving the nuts off it . Yeh jobs are expensive at main dealers especially volvo , i had one for good a few years , good car thou . Cheer up chuck .

Not actually on the A36, it's onto the forest through Landford, turn left just after the BP garage.
Not spotted the light yellow bay....

Yeah there's one further up a36, might be by junction for redlynch/downton etc., big shed always with loads of cars outside and a yellow bay,

Ah I know the one. Interesting looking shed full of random cars!
    Yeah, Jim's number is 01794 390271, he's definitely VAT registered. :)

  7. You could buy scrappers like the rest of us.....("us" definitely a minority on here):D

  8. Thankfully that only applies to diseasels. They don't rev the nuts off petrol cars in the MOT test.

  9. are you sure these teenagers these days :D you must have a diesel volvo anyway , much more economical

  10. People say you aren't a petrol head unless you've owned an Alfa. I was given a 156 selespeed as a company car. What a useless piece of Italian sh!te. Never worked properly, used more oil than fuel and was generally nasty on every level. That was about 10 years ago. A guy in work bought one and has lived every minute of it - he said I was wrong..... Right up to the point the cambelt went. At 35k miles

  11. Why have you got a Volvo? Do you wear sandals and eat wholemeal tofu?

  12. ^^^ usual Italian sheeite ..
My Fiat Bravo escapades were legendary , I even fitted a cambelt and recon head on new years day ffs ... Utter junk .
87k miles is VERY good for a belt life - I really wouldn't mind putting my hand in my pocket every 4 years or so , if only for peace of mind .
Fiat SUGGESTED the belt be changed at 30, 000 instead of the recommend 40, 000 miles - both mine on the Bravo failed at 32k , you figure it out ....
    :hattip:
