Black and Silver Number plates

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Bhubesi, Aug 4, 2020.

  1. I have been thinking that it would be correct to have black and silver pressed aluminium on our bus, as its original plates in Lagos were pressed ali. back in 1976.
Can anyone recommend a supplier, as I am not happy about the computer driven 'big boys' that advertise on Google but don't appear to be able to accept the correct spacing.

    Any ideas?

  3. Several years ago I think I used Framptons but they look like they have moved address from down in Hampshire to Sheffield so looks they are now part of a larger group (Jepsons)?

Pressed plates were only to 72, while legal now to put them on upto 79 I think they look best with what they had on them os original. Saying that I have pressed plates on my 74 although they are the correct colour for the year

Can’t help with where to get them but I think they look fab, depending on body colour.

Jepsons have been making pressed plates for ages, they may have been the originator of them as they have a very long history. ..and yes they are in Sheffield.

  8. That's the place I've used for pressed plates, usually a very quick service
