  1. We hired a bay for a weekend a year ago. Ever since I can't stop planning my perfect bus.
Still need figure out a lot of basics (before getting lost in details) not least budget. Thankfully it's probably not going to happen for 6 months to a year, so plenty of time to figure things out.

Go to shows and check out as many types as you can....buying in 6 months puts you into the most expensive time of the market...I'd strike just after crimbo when people need money if it was me.

  6. Hello, welcome

Read everything you can on here about vans and look at peoples vans in restoration section and post any links to vans you are viewing and you shouldn't go far wrong with whatever you buy :)

    Good luck

    Hi :)

  11. There is a good cheap book to buy called 'The Essential Buyer's Guide Volkswagen Bus' amazon sell this its about !£10 and is full of info and pics. Helped my a lot when I was looking and in my opinion a MUST. As other members have said, go to VW shows and talk to many there and post on here for info. Be very careful on ebay and have a look on site pistonheads (classifieds/vw/camper) and usa site 'samba'. good luck.
