Anyone been bitten by nasty insects, was bitten yesterday and my arm is well swollen and very red I'm not sure what bite me taken tablets but still bad thinking doctors next.
Hotter and more swelling after antihistamines sounds like an allergic reaction or infection to me Does that sound right bern?
When I popped to the pharmacy this morning they sold me spray for it and hay fever tablets as they said it was antihistamine in them ?
Put an ice pack on it, if you can keep the heat down it will get better quicker and take the antihistamine tablets that you can take several times a day. Hope it gets better soon.
That's right info - that is first thing to try. If it's hot and more swollen you may need some antibiotics
A friend has just got out of hospital after a week and a half, after being bitten by something and it getting infected. Not that I want to worry you or anything!
Ok my see what it's like in morning and go from there , it's by lower bicep elbow joint painful was meant to go to the gym 2nite but its not good .
ive had mozzees bite me like that , spread marmite all over you the dont like it. no really eat it they wont bite you. Teatree is good too. Bern is the expert Hope it gets better soon urts n itches dunit. Crocodiles are the ones you wana watch
Sounds like a horse fly bite, nasty little buggars. I consider myself very lucky I have never been bitten by a mozzy or knat or anything like that ACCEPT horse flys , twice in my life, one on my leg and the other ? , but the marks remained for a year , nasty swelling then left with a horrid big black mark and lump .......
Blandford fly is a bast*rd. Mrs TBR had one bite her down by the river (this is NOT a euphamism ) and it took 9 months for the bloody thing to heal up. Larvae live in water then emerge, feed on blood then mate. (a bit like Mrs TBR come to think of it)
Just to let you know my bite is better swelling down bump nearly gone as well happy days oh and arm lol.
