I am with that idea too. Most properties are Art Deco style with chrome and neon. Black and white check floor. Think the film "Grease" then add beer taps.

 

...and roller skating along the sidewalk,
...and women with firm young breasts and tiny pants lifting weights and playing volleyball
...and a beach...

With a few on here SF bar means blue oyster bar and leather bottom baring chaps... Probably due to the Vegas of the north influence!!! :-D

 

Thinking 'Fisherman's Wharf' . Decking with sealions sprawled over it. A boat in the pool with a sealion in it. If you go swimming in the pool, a wave machine washes you away.


And a pergola above the bar with wonky legs where the earthquake has collapsed it. All the drinks are stored in a random pile at one end of the bar for the same reason.

A load of placards complaining about Google gentrification. A crashed Tesla car in the rockery.
And a big rainbow flag above the whole thing.

All metalwork painted in red oxide to match the Golden Gate bridge. And little roofs over really rusty bits.

 

Surely the place being imagined is Los Angeles, Venice Beach. For some reason my wife would not us go there when we were on our Californian trip back in 2009.
