This little lot just dropped off....... From looking at various diagrams on google, I assume it should sit above the slider and hook onto the fixed latch at the top. The door is still shutting and latching.......so should I be looking for a replacement mechanism ie (£££££££s).......or is it just VW overkill. I'd hate the door to fly open on the move........
That lot stops the roller at the back of the door going back along the track until the door swings out far enough. And also holds the door open. Try the likes of FBI VW.
Cheers for the replies, it seems to be working as before and still latching open (at the moment)......but I'll be extra careful with it all until I can source a replacement! Funny thing is, my mate bought one (cheapish!!!!) at Volksworld for the resto firm he works for..........may need to buy that one.......luckily I know what he payed as I was stood next to him at the time......and before you ask why I havnt asked him about it, he's a parts guy not a resto specialist.
