Sorry guy's I think that I've see the answers somewhere on the forum but cant find them now... I have just paid the princely sum of 235.00 to DVLA for Cyril then thought about it being a 1977 bus.. Have checked the M-Plate decoder & I can see that planned production was Thursday, 27 Jan 1977 and the original VW Personal Export Certificate is dated 1-4-1977 I have read that the Birth Certificate can take forever to get but that the Data Sheet is sufficient, does anyone have the procedure or place to request this from? Also I have read that vans built before 7th Jan are tax free from 1st April & those after are from the following year, but I seem to remember reading that this has changed. does anyone know? Thanks for the assistance Sean
Yep. If built before the 7th Jan, it becomes tax free in April of its 40th year. Pretty sure that hasn't changed.
Send these a e mail with m code and they will get back to you with a proper manufacture date, I used when registering getting historic tax status. history@volkswagen.de
Not sure but I'm told that it costs less and you get it much more quickly, hence the question Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
