I should be in the shop working, now that I have that gift of time that retirement provides, but can’t resist yet another post. If I’m cut off or deleted for adding too many, then that’s probably good. I bought 2 big Healeys nearly 30 years ago. Still have one but it’s a work in progress. The bus jumped the cue, as have others over the years. I must conjure up the wherewithal to finish it before it’s too late. Motivation and ambition are key. Back to work now.
But you might make us jealous of all of those lovely cars in the photos . The one of the shed full (dated '98) would be a good one for the "name the car" thread. Are they all yours?
No, that was where I purchased the Healeys. An amazing property, brimming with a life-time collection. Cars were in several rundown sheds. One drove up a long gravel road with signs and arrows stating this way to the British cars. It was a 100 acre farm that had sold and they were liquidating everything. One car that really caught my eye was an MGA coupe with a continental rear tire mounted on the rear. A very rare option. He wanted $2500 for it. Before I left, the seller asked me if I also wanted a parts car, at no additional cost. The second Healey was stored in another building and I ended up keeping it, as it was a better candidate for restoration. Sold the original one.
