My bay will be out the paint shop in two weeks and I'm torn between having a small vw badge on the front or large... whats are your thoughts please?
77.... I have seen both on the lates and they both look good. the lates only had small ones though is that right?
Yeah, a '77 would originally have had a small badge. I'd personally stick with a small one, but it's your bus
Stick with the small one. Putting the larger one on is the same as painting the bus with the swoop of the splitty, it just looks wrong. That's just my opinion & no offence meant to anyone who has done either of these things
Mines a '74, and as far as I know it never had a white one. However am sure someone on here will know for certain
Mine is lacking a badge due to front tyre mounting which currently has a plain cover - however that will be replaced eventually with a VW logo cover which will make my front 'badge' mahoosive ! For standard front though, my opinion would be go with the smaller. The old one off the front of my old bay still hangs on my garage wall
I have a small white one and a silver.... It came with the white one on. I guess this will now pose another question aswell as small or large...... White or silver
I put a similar thread on about a year or so ago. I still haven't put one one on yet but that's mainly due to my bus being a shed I say go large that's early large not splitty large
I went to view a van which had the wheel on the front with a cover... The chap had glued a silver vw badge on the front of the cover. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..not sure on that one.. Think he should have gone with the vw logo on the cover like you are.
