I think if I were the manager of AZ, I would hope that I make the same decision. Players aren't safe if supporters can get onto the pitch and start kicking them.
Then the ref sent of the keeper for violent conduct!!! Not being funny and in no way am i advocating violence on any level but i think most people would have put a few kicks in in self defence. If someone attacks me then i am going to fight tooth and nail to protect myself if possible and then make sure my attacker isnt going to get up any time soon. Well played the keeper ) I agree and i'd like to think i would have made the same decision as the manager too. Although i bet he'd have let the game go ahead had his keeper not been sent off.
IMO If you get attacked by someone then one hit back isn't enough, they might get up & hit you again. You got to get a few in, just to make sure. I'd never attack anyone, but if they attacked me first I'd batter them (as long as they weren't harder than me lol) I think they done right to walk off the pitch. The pitch is for the players only not the fans. C
