Best penetrating oil / spray?

I like the idea of using a jack but maybe just put it at the end of the breaker bar and Jack it up instead of trying to get leverage in a tight space

 

A wire brushing to take the crud off the exposed thread will help the plusgas penetrate more easily

 

Don't strain too hard or you will Marmite your pants

 

Dissolves rust, I best not use it on mine or I'll have no camper left

 

I assume this might get it started for you?

 

The ether will either explode or get you high. It does start engines though.

A careful belt with a copper hammer might help ...some say applying a bit of petrol on it ..let it sink in for a bit then apply plus gas .
Personally i wouldn't use a jack to put pressure on the bung in case it is really tight in and break the casing .
You could always go to your local garage and get them to air gun it off .

 

In the past I've used Wurth Rost-off Ice to get rusted/corroded bolts undone. Cools the joint which causes micro-cracks and allows the fluid to penetrate. Few applications does the trick

I use diesel and white spirit mixed in a jar ,
applied with a tooth brush stored in the jar

 

I'm off the opinion that all penetrating oil is just nice smelling snake oil... you probably just pull a bit harder subconsciously because you have sprayed it.. anything wet and slippery will probably have the same effect. I often just pull the dipstick out and drip it on the threads, then get the biggest bar I can find on it.

 

^this. I’ve never noticed any difference between the various oils. They all don’t really work.
