I have a Konica Minolta colour laser, it's v good and less susceptible to paper quality - it cost £180 around 9 years ago.

Consumables are good compared to ink jet.

For ink jet I'd go Kodak as their ink saving tech is supposedly top draw.

  5. I use an Epson L555 for printing our MG club newsletters ( mixed print and photos) as well as home stuff etc - it has the large capacity tanks for coloured inks which work out at £10 each (£40 total) and they last about a year printing several hundred pages - I have had it 2+ years and works well so far - bought from Argos .

  6. I gave up on my printer at home when I realised that the ink cost more per ml than Chanel.
Now I steal low quality printing from work and pay for high quality at Max Speilman (or similar).

I've had a Brother DCP-J4120DW for a year or so now. It's good for occasional. use as it does periodic auto cleans and gives good prints every time. Can also do A3 prints if you need them.

I believe that if you go to ijt.com or something like that, you can get a free one if you buy loads of ink.

Canon MG5750. Bought one from PCW in the Black Friday sale for £45! Takes XL cartidges and Cartidge World do their own inks cheaper than Canon. HP ink cartridges are tiny. I use use Canons throughout my business - 2 desktops and 2 large format - and they're definitely the most economical to run for me.

  9. I recommend you avoid HP

  10. I’m happy with my HP. Prints wirelessly from my phone or tablet. I can also send it an email and it will print the attachment. Cost £50, and I pay £1:99 per month to print up to 50 pages. They send the ink when required.
