The sound is crap the unit is very cheap... totally hit and miss and you can believe that nobody will ever replace or care at the price you pay.

That has a useful feature. In the event of a bad accident it automatically sends a message with your location, plus the last 5 seconds of video before the accident, to your next of kin or an alarm centre

 

The sound is crap and the unit is very cheap??? Are you for real? Even if the sound recording was any good all you'd really hear is Talksport or whatever music the little girls put on! You can hear me swear and the horn being blasted clear enough - no matter how good the sound recording was you'd not hear the pelican crossing beeping or the other driver talking on his mobile! Its a car cam not something you'd use to record a family wedding or the kids nativity! Its a tenner and a tenner delivered - what do you expect for that - titanium body, swiss optics, 7.2 surround sound recording and a lizard skin case with mink fur lining ? I just paid more than the cost of this for a pint and gammon, egg and chips at the local!

I've got one and bought my mate one - both work fine and we've had no issues - why are you saying that these are hit and miss - have you had problems with yours? I'm assuming you have one seeing as you can tell us how crap the sound is, about the poor build quality and the fact that these are 'totally hit and miss'?

I was lucky yes - I bought a car cam that has already paid for itself fifteen times over. I bought mine last year when they were a bit dearer had it been this price that would be twenty five times over. But you don't mean that do you?

I would buy one if it had a lizard skin case...

 

There is an advantage to been Chinese and cheap, if you say its broke they tell you to bin it and send you another

Well mine turned up today and so far it's pants.
The field off view ain't that wide. Mounted in the middle off the dash on my T5 all I can see is the middle party off the bonnet not as far as the headlights.
It saves the video as a AVI but when I play it back on the mac, QuickTime it seems to be scrambled. Any ideas.

 

It's the mac not wanting to play back. It plays ok on windows.
Still not a great field off view.
But for a tenner what do I expect.
