If Nicola S gets her way and Scotland gets there independence ...Will she demand Berwick to be back in scottish hands as it is the county town of Berwickshire in Scotland. It was won back by the English in 1482 after years of gaining and regaining . The area in English hands is approx 7 sq miles . Apparently 75 % of people wanted to be back in Scotland and classed as Scottish . But that poll was done some time ago i think . I was born at Berwick upon Tweed and was just wondering if i should buy a kilt if should Nicola be successful .
It's rumoured that Berwick is still at war with Russia, the Crimean war that is. We've managed to keep it quiet for 170 years. I hope Nicola can handle that.
