Berts new engine

Just thought I'd share Berts new 1600 engine. Got it running earlier today, I started straight up

It's all new apart from the case.

Only cost me about £1500 to build.

 

Could have bought a new one for that...

Is the tinware for a early/beetle going into a late?

 

its going in any prototype bay that I've just imported from the U.S.

 

I'm no expert but isn't it meant to be in something?

 

Lol, you raise a good point, I was just putting it in my friends baha bug to get the timing adjusted etc before I put it in...it's a lot easier to work on than when it's in a bus.

 

Also why is it not covered in its protective coating of grity black oil?

 

I'm sure it will be soon once it's starts to spring leaks from everywhere
