Pros and cons of Berlin or Helsinki interiors discussion time fellas! I like the Helsinki because im for the full width bed!
berlin has more useable space floor wise but only 3/4 bed, helsinki better bed and seating but a great big wardrobe in the doorway behind the seat puts me off.
Tried both and bought a Berlin. If you are happy with the 3/4 bed then the extra storage is ace as is the general layout. Also the Berlin has a captains chair on the passenger side which when rotated makes the bus interior feel lovely and spacious to be in which is handy if it rains and you need to be inside (which of course it never does in the UK)
Mine is a LHD Helsinki. Preferred the full width bed. Wardrobe was behind drivers seat, with Fridge / sink behind passengers. Cooker drops down from wardrobe across the walkthrough. However we found we weren't using the wardrobe or the sink that much, so I am replacing the units with just one behind the drivers seat up to window height. Not having a unit in the doorway is much better IMHO.
I have a Berlin and agree with Bertiebot. The captains chair, floor space, full width of the door to enter and extra storage space are spot on. For me, these outweigh the plus of having a wider bed.
Continental. Only made for UK, has the most comfortable bed out of the range with super thick padding. I believe the same interior but for LHD was known as a Malaga? I think they were a 72/73 model year only?
Berlin - for all the reasons mentioned, and why on earth would I want to sleep downstairs in my van? Top deck is where the comfort is... Mini-me sleeps over the engine bay, don't even have to rock or roll the bed for him most times
Mines a 74 with it and there are a fair few of them on an N plate (11 I know of) - I always thought it was called a Malaga though in RHD form.
