I vaguely remember one of the older guys in our office (now retired) mentioning his name as we used to have a few ex Plessey employees and I think Tim worked there at some point?

October 89, might have been November.

Saw Nirvana supporting Mudhoney and TAD.
K Cider was £1 bottle so don't remember too much of the latter two bands.

  3. Yep. Dear old Plessey up Sopers Lane in Poole.

From memory, Tim worked in the kind of special projects bit next door, while we slaved away on System X (which I'm amazed to find is still in service).

I can’t wait for The Staves, Wildwood Kin and Ferris and Sylvester to blow up. Then I’ll tell thee.

  7. Probably told it before but back in around late 1968 my old boss Alan was being badgered by his mate to go and see an up an coming band who were playing over in Wellingborough(about a 6 mile trip) on the Friday night. Come the day and Al declined, because he couldn't be bothered to get some petrol for his motorbike, with the immortal words - "anyway, what kind of name for a band is Led Zeppelin.....)
