My 1974 beetle cabriolet doesn't have one fitted. Does it make much of a difference? I've seen one pop up local to me.

They just stop the inside wheel tucking in under extreme cornering, so if you drive sedately, they don’t really do anything.

Is your bug swing axle or IRS rear end?

It's IRS at the rear. I only pootle about in it so I'll probably just leave as is.

  4. An IRS beetle would not use a Z bar.
Z bar is for swing axle only.
You can get aftermarket anti roll bar for IRS. I don’t think they were ever oem fitment.
If you are not driving it like a race car I wouldn’t bother….
