Oohh this could be fun, especially if Luu is back to full fitness - the mechanic is looking at her now :crossed

 

What time would you advise turning up to join in the fun.
Can we just turn up and pay or do we need to book in advance.

 

We've only ever just paid and turned up, not sure of the starting times, probably best to check the website

 

shall be working flat out on the beetle this weekend getting it in paint, and maybe next week road worthy. so hold on to your hats i might make it, but dont hold your breath.

I'd aim to turn up for about 10ish I think.

 

We're hoping to camp over somewhere near so should be there earlier than the usual 2pm hahahaa

It's about 10 mile from Crich. The rates seem reasonable at £6 per adult, £3 for children and £3 for EHU - surprisingly there's no charge for dogs.

Even better the site mentions their fields can be hired out for rallies, so even if we don't go on mass for Crich we could consider a meet there next year.

Oh and the best bit (well 2 bits) 1. They allow fires in raised pits. 2. there is a pub at the bottom of the drive - well you have to plan for all weathers

It's great fun, we've been for the last two years. Last year we pre booked and got a parking spot right outside the pub! Haven't thought that far ahead yet though lol

 

That campsite is the only one we have ever left early. Mostly due to badly behaved children (and even worse adults) more than anything else.

 

I'll be coming!! (well, indicator issues permitting!!) I have family in Crich, so know it well
