Hopefully! Not been for far too long so it'll be a humerous day for anyone watching!

  11. Ah, childhood memories... many a Summer weekend spent there convinced I was somewhere abroad - it was an island after all.

Stayed there a couple of years ago in the van with family, very nostalgic. My old fella is buried in the Solent and we combined my boys first visit to 'give Pops a drink' with an old family friend's ashes being scattered in Porchester Castle grounds. They still have family there who I hadn't seen for years, as I rolled up onto the campsite, they could see me from their backgarden...

they have ruined the beach somewhat by thousands of tons of shingle getting sprayed onto the main beach each year, not at the private sialing club for some reason that still has beautiful sandy beaches worthy of the med with a sheltered beach. its ace to be able to pop to the beach in the van for 30 mins :) . porchester castle is cool too, keep the little one busy for ages. may go there Saturday
