I live at the seaside hayling island, will take the children to the beach in the van and have a picnic and paddle
Hopefully! Not been for far too long so it'll be a humerous day for anyone watching! I think the 6'8" can stay in the garage, I'll take the 8'6"!
Ah, childhood memories... many a Summer weekend spent there convinced I was somewhere abroad - it was an island after all. Stayed there a couple of years ago in the van with family, very nostalgic. My old fella is buried in the Solent and we combined my boys first visit to 'give Pops a drink' with an old family friend's ashes being scattered in Porchester Castle grounds. They still have family there who I hadn't seen for years, as I rolled up onto the campsite, they could see me from their backgarden...
you lucky people..I live in land locked Derbyshire so when we do visit the beach it's a real.pleasure....love Woolacombe but not been for few years,we used to to take the kids out of school when they were younger to miss the school hol crowds...but we have booked for Oct half term but without the bus....
jammy - landlocked Derbyshire, you have the lighthouse at Crich and then theres Carsington by the sea
they have ruined the beach somewhat by thousands of tons of shingle getting sprayed onto the main beach each year, not at the private sialing club for some reason that still has beautiful sandy beaches worthy of the med with a sheltered beach. its ace to be able to pop to the beach in the van for 30 mins . porchester castle is cool too, keep the little one busy for ages. may go there Saturday
