It's a free range thing, it was a given that someday foxes would be along and I accepted that. On the upside one of them must have hidden up because she was there this morning
Free range=Fox food. Big pen, bottom of fence buried 2 feet=Eggs for life. (Lived on a farm). At least you were kind enough to feed the foxes. Are you going to feed them regularly from now on?
I use big greenhouses with fox/rat proof steel mesh panel fixed instead of the glass for the hens and coups overnight and free ranged during daylight..... Live in a rural area so we have visits but never lost any to the foxes
