New to the forum, new to type 2s but previously had a T25, having got three Beetles (two in various states of almost on the road) anyhow, the T2, my wife purchased it this week of thet global redistribution site [ebay][/ebay]whilst I was at work, (she had been bidding on one in Spain saying it would be a nice trip to get it (I then found out it was in Ibiza! 8)) we are to collect it tomorrow, (not Ibiza 8) but Derbyshire >) apparently it has previously been blasted, never been primed and sat under a sheet for some time so has now generated its own coat of iron oxide, gonna take some fettlin' as they say but nothing my metal glue gun wont be able to fix )................if anyone wants to lend a hand you are more than welcome ;D I will post a pic upon collection (which I may have to photoshop) to make it look salvaegable
Welcome! From a fellow Lancashire dweller, I live near rochdale...We've got an apartment in Ibiza its lovely, we took a boat over there once, that was a fun treck! Where abouts in Lancs are you, I am too and seem to be the only 1 lol! Good on your wife for getting a bay and yeyy for the beetles too x Good luck with the rebuild x
We live on the outskirts of .......shhhhhh Nelson, tried to re-name the place but they wern't for having it! No, its not that bad really, cheap housing if you can afford it. Its nice that you refer to Rochdale as Lancs and not part of Manch.....something, I visit Whitworth on occasion if that counts
