Awnings

Hi,

Has anyone fitted a fiamma caravan store awning to the side of their van?

I've got a little drive away tent but I'm thinking that one of these wind in / out awnings would be nice and easy and useful for quick over night stops in the beautiful sunshine this summer. I've also seen a few going cheap on eBay.

 

I think George and Mildred have something like this on their bus.

 

I have been looking at buying one or one of the F45

 

Yeah, loads on eBay for cheap at the moment. All have a little mark, small hole or rough roller. All easily fixed.

I really like the idea of it but don't know how easy / practical it is to get it on the van.

 

I know there is a bracket for the T3 vw the roof gutter looks very similar to the T2

 

They are really good, and you can get sides to make it like a normal awning too, caddy over at low e nuf has one on his prototype bay with a devon pop top. fairly sure it wouldn't be compatible with a westy roof without some mods to the roof or brackets.

i like the idea, but IMHO, im notkeen on how they look on the bus. personal preference and all that!!

 

Ooh, I like that bracket. Looks like its pretty easy to get on and off depending on if / when it's needed.
