We've been offered an awning free by our neighbour who used to have a Bongo but gave up camping a couple of years ago (he is 80 odd years old). I expected it to be 'well used' but in fact it looks new, apart from a hole in the roof canvas approx. 4 cm x 4 cm where it has been nibbled by a mouse. What's the best repair technique for this? Since it's in the roof, I want to do the job properly so it doesn't leak.
You can get patch repairs in kits they are cheap enough. http://www.gear-zone.co.uk/outdoor-...ign=shopping&gclid=CK6i7didrbgCFcLHtAodmQgAsA The only issue is colour matching but as its free do you care?
I have some brilliant stuff on a roll mate, I just did my pop top repairs with it, it's actually for sealing between a window and the window reveal before its plasterboarded, is super strong, and waterproof, and rip proof, if you pm me you address and how many strips of a certain length you want I'll post them to you!
