Awning recommendation?

  1. Hi guys. Just got back from Apex Festival which was the first time I attended a show as an actual owner of a bus and tried to sleep in it. Learnt a hell if a lot and got lots of ideas from others so all good.

Regarding a drive away awning, does such a thing exist which has two drive away sides so two busses could link on either side? I actually want to be able to stick my Monster Factory Splitty tent ( which you can link to a regular drive away awning ) on the other side to increase sleeping space as use as room to get dressed / shower maybe.

    Any ideas?

  4. so are you looking for the semi detached look ? im not quite sure what you mean ? you say you can fix your monster ten to the other side ? you can buy awnings that you are able to attach extra rooms too that just zip on to the sides etc of the existing awning, the said rooms dont have to be bedrooms they can be consevatory sauna what ever , is that what you mean ? or you want to join up with you mates ?

  5. Yes Barney, if you could imagine an awning which a bus could attatch to each side using proper weatherproof connection as in a drive away awning then that would be ideal. I just happen to have a Monster Splitty tent which I know accepts drive away awnings just like a real one, so I would rather use that as a bedroom than just attach another section of awning. Just a long shot!

If not I may just bit the bullet and get a Travel Pod Mini Air, as I always seem to be alone when I need to put the awning up! Plus I seem to have a phobia of tent poles and very little talent with them :)

  6. Mork I will look into that one too, as it looks like the entry tunnel can go on either side? Which means if I was able to buy two tunnels, job jobbed!

  7. you can attach any thing to your buses as long as its at approx gutter height and has a fitting for the gutter ie pole or figure of eight , but anything is possible or you can just put the tent next to them without attaching of course . so id use your tent .
