The problems with windows in a lavvu lies in the fact that its a single pole tent so relies on the geometric shape for its amazing strengh If you added plastic windows id imagine they would eventually tear at the seams Your not alone in thinking the green ones are two dark inside thats why i run a ring of solar powered fairy lights on the inside that are lit all night The other option is to buy a tan coloured one as they let more light through and create a nice atmosphere The last time i camped next to a tan canvas lavvu i had a great sillouete of the couple in it making love
Or i could go against the mainstream flow and make myself one then sell a pattern and guide for a small fee so others could make there own and stick it to the man
we should have a few dub dragons do a dragons den at the shows I can imagine me trying to pitch my new man bag idea to the wilmas and julie liking it and moira dealing a swift blow to my enthusiasm
lol let me know the solution you find I love assesing outdoor kit Any fool can be stylish yet uncomfortable Lol im a bit weird when it comes to outdoor kit but then again im normaly the one whos fed waterd and asleep in comfort with just a 60 litre ruck sack and my sleeping bag takes 20 litres of space
I had the same problem as I wanted something big so I can sleep the kids in etc but found they arnt cheap for what you get, so I've brought a trailer tent costs abit but well worth it the way I see it as there is more space in the van and if the vans of the road I use are normal car and still go camping
Seen a couple of these over the weekend, one had the full kit and kaboodle fitted. Stove, flue coming out of the side etc. They looked well cool.
If i had any money i would have one of these http://uk.oztent.com/products/viewProduct.asp?productid=120
Mine has the kitchen with it ,sink hob and all bottles etc and a iner tent peace they we can use for a portable toilet And it only weighs 450 kg which ain't bad cause are little 1.4 can tow it
