Avis beam adjusters

Hi all, I'm working on a beetle front beam and wish to fit avis adjusters, I've got everything free and moving but I'm not sure at which position to set the plate at.

I would like max low adjustment so where does the adjuster sit before welding, is it set at the top, middle or bottom of the seratted plate (No Barrymore jokes please) it that makes sense

A general note, I think it's wise to allow adjustment back to full height, I think you'll find that still goes lower that the rest of the car can cope with but I'm no beetle expert.

 

Like your 3rd pic mate. The grub screw moves down as the car goes down
