Six am this morning the air temp was 8 deg with a hint of a bright sky to come but as the day moved on The sky got darker the rain started to fall the moors in the distance were sat in cloud and the wind started to pick up This evening we lost the light much earlier the temperature dropped off quick and the mist started to come in Ive had to put a hoody over my t shirt and a pair of socks on as my toes were feeling a little cold What the day been like near everyone else?
it has been so miserable here all day... did another rochdale dog rescue fundraiser and thought we would do quite well ... but nobody wanted to leave the house so didn't do as well as usual, suppose £74 is better than nothin' its just been grey and dark all day.....booooo!
I think we had all seasons this past weekend - torrential rain, wind, sun and Autumnal chill... I'm holding out for September being better - particularly in Kent (where we'll be on holiday for two weeks)
We've been in Weymouth on the Dorset coast today where it was grey and wet, but not as bad as predicted. However it tipped it down all the way back to Somerset!!! :-
Awful Drove back from Aberdaron ,the worst drive since owning the van ,5 hours (due to congestion) of absolute monsoon conditions. Had to pull over as the left windsreen wipper went all the way round and got stuck (never used them on full power before) But had a great time ,have posted in holidays away ,well worth a visit.
Sounds like its the same all over then Im not getting down about it im looking forward to the colours changing in the countryside and the cold crisp bracing mornings I should worry a little though about only having a smidge of heating oil and no coal or logs at all
we are in drought ,the first time ever my well is empty ,the mornings are chilly but the days are still hot... I had good memories of September in France, we used to come "off peak holidays" to get the last bit of sunshine... ;D The first time ever I am ready for winter... ;D
