I can get it in 500ml bottles. Only other name is Isopropanol. Cost price is £6.10 + VAT

The Maplins stuff looks a reasonable buy - used to be sold in small bottles as a tape head cleaner in Hi-Fi shops at one time.

we do it at work for cleaning fibre optic cables, i have it in 25 litre tubs or 1 litre or 500ml - it burns ace.

  6. Amazon dude, 250ml for about £3.49

  7. Bought mine on Amazon too - for cleaning the atomizers on my e-cigs!

  8. Rubbing Alcohol is an american term and if its labelled as that its likely to be mixed with water so may not be good for thermostats, check the contents on the label first

  9. As above, IPA pretty common as a cleaning solvent.

A shot in your morning coffee sets you up for the day, I find... :)

  10. Got a small bottle from the local Chemists for about £1. I think it was 100ml.

I burnt a hole through my uPVC window sill with magnesium. My old man was well impressed (not).
