I thought that there was a wax that you put on your rusty bits .. to keep it nice
Not anything to put on your fanny
What’s the matter with you Nipper

I thought about using it on my van to preserve its patina. Then some folk said that to get rid of it you have to shot blast the van - which would get rid of original stripeage. Therefore I couldn’t decide and did nothing and my van retained original stripeage and went a bit rustier :(

  11. I have a couple of anchors but I've never put wax on them. I've heard of people using it on their buses so why they call it anchor wax who knows.

Why would you change if you start waxing.
Yes they are right you cant really treat the rust with anything other than more wax products, but the key thing is it stops the rusty patches from becoming holes in which case the cutting and grinding needed for welding up the holes will remove a lot more than the waxed rusty patches.
You either slow down the patina or end up with a rot box.
Doing nothing is worse than using wax or sanding areas back to metal and repainting them.

I also heard it was a bit sticky and could look a bit bobbins after a while. I get it waxed by a car valeter now but the roof has gone a bit rusty in the interim :(

    It's horrible old muck.

One of my customers likes to slap it all over his bus on a weekly basis I think... you can't touch it without getting sticky fingers...
