Hi guys Sorry I've been missing in action recently. Has anyone used Dubteriors (http://dubteriors.co.uk/), know about them or seen any of their work? Thanks
Just looked at the site, sounds good all the "not MFI, real wood blah", then show pics that look like MFI units supplied flat packed and coated so thickly they don't look like wood any more? Not my cuppa, but most aren't. I like home made ones.
Lots of claims of innovation but they look pretty standard fodder to me. The flat pack pic is a 3d model image not the real thing. Then again there's only so much you can do in a camper and this basic design does provide a lot of cupboard space.
We are looking at them too. I quite like the white gloss look. There are a few more completed photos on their Facebook site and I have seen on a T4 forum one guy very pleased with them. We are looking to get a slightly customised design based on their sink/hob pod that allows a full width bed (not shown in website but on Facebook) but with slimmer side storage and rear wardrobe to allow a 1200mm bed. We should have drawings and price early next year.
I guess it depends on what sort of interior you want (in keeping with the original or something modern and different) but I can highly recommend Airteriors. There are pics on both face book and the website. All custom hand build to exact specification. You will see "Bob" (Bob K Bus album) amongst the pictures. Bit of a wait to get in with Nick at Airteriors but its worth it in my opinion! https://www.facebook.com/Busbox http://www.airteriors.co.uk
I was using a Mac. It's just basically a blog site! No images, ideas, prices, colours, etc. Unless I'm missing something?!
It is OK from a PC. There are CGI images for T25 etc and actual photos for a T2 install. Facebook is better.
I just viewed the site on ipad and it works ok. The site is a relatively new site on their own admission , they state they are just building a online shop . The navigation is via hyperlinked words within the text so somewhat unusual. No indication of how new the buisnes is , but lets not dismiss them , we all have to start somewhere . I personaly wish them good luck and advise to keep away from scene tax then perhaps some success may come their way .
The fact they've got "Dub" in their name says to me they're probably quite expensive and unlikely to "stay away from scene tax".
If you want a good combination of woodwork and upholstery, I'd recommend SJH Joinery for the units (Scott is on here) Kens Customs for the upholstery. I used both these guys and they were a pleasure to deal with - nothing was too much trouble
