Anyone use auto aid?

  1. It's that time year again for break down cover. I'm currently with RAC and as usually the premium has gone up, I know that if I tell them I'm leaving I'll get the new customer price which is still £122

Auto aid charge £39, you ring them if you have a breakdown, you pay for the break down/ recovery/ home start or onward journey and they reimburse you in 14 days.

Sounds too good to be true, but I didn't use my RAC cover at all this year so could save some wonga.

Any one ever used auto aid?

    Looks good
one thing is that they will not pay if you have a accident

  3. Nice one Matty but isn't that the same with the AA and RAC? It's break down cover not accident recovery, surely it's down to the insurance company to sort that out?

The AA cover me for accident but they have given me gold cover as i have been with them with no claims for a few years
For the cost its properly worth the risk and will be interested if you go for it

  5. Cheers mate I may inquire with rac to see if they recover from accidents, I know a friend of mine was with the AA and they didn't recover him from an accident but he must of had a lower level of cover than you.

  6. if you use the"TOPCASHBACK" website you get cashback on RAC and AA as follows:-

    AA
Breakdown Cover - cost up to £50 you get £14.14 - Cashback

Breakdown Cover - cost £51 to £100 you get £29.29 cashback
Breakdown Cover -cost £101 to £150 you get £44.44 cashback
Breakdown Cover - cost £151+ you get £69.69 cashback

    RAC
New RAC UK Breakdown Customer Policy Value £151+ you get £70.70 cashback
New RAC UK Breakdown Customer Policy Value £101 - £150 you get £45.45 cashback

New RAC UK Breakdown Customer Policy Value £51- £100 you get £30.30 cashback
New RAC UK Breakdown Customer Policy Value £0 - £50 you get £5 cashback.

Its well worth using the cashback sites . I have had £1400 cashback so far for doing nothing.

I joined autoaid last year but I havent needed to call them out yet

  9. I've been with the RAC for years with cars. I phoned them to ensure that I was still covered for the van. No problems as it is under the maximum dimensions (5.5 x 3.5m from memory). Not covered for outside U K though.
