Anyone struggling to play the xylophone

Not seen one played for a long time ,is it a lost art ?

Played a marimba in high school . My dad was a jazz drummer so we had loads of things in the house like timpani's and a vibraphone , im a drummer but my sister is a phenomenal percussionists , she rocks them ,,, I fooled around with them once in a while. But was playing in lots of rock bands in high school which took most of my interest. The secret is reading music .
she plays now for north shore orchestra in new york.

I used to entertain family and friends on my Sooty xylophone as a young 'un.

 

I got one of them

 

I've still got mine from the ye olden days, it's pretty battered so I must have played it a lot.

 

Are we see a resurgence here maybe an international xylo off

We tried that, I won because Don insisted on dressing like a bird.and he was rubbish.
