Don't worry I reckon most of the people who go will be a little bit teary.
Ms.T & I certainly were when we saw it.

  5. It was ok but I felt it was little unbelievable at the start.
i would not recmend to a TLB Friend but if you like horses then it would be right up-ya street

  6. The start dragged on a bit. Mrs Mabel was bored after 20 minutes - she described it as the horse version of "Babe - Pig in the City". Got a bit predictable though. Not sure of why it has been hyped up for so many Oscars......

  7. i went to watch 'underworld awakening' yesterday and there were 100000s of people queuing up to see the horse film. not my cup of tea tho

  10. Nope not yet, have seen the play which is just amazing. Always said you shouldn't see the film of a play you have really liked, but think Benedict Cumberbatch is good (great in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) so might go and see it.

I saw The Artist and Iron Lady last week, both damn good films.

  16. Could not possibly go to see it in a cinema - would be far too embarassing given the amount of wailing I'd do ::)

Might possibly watch it when I can watch at home.

Am never going to watch Marley & Me. The book nearly killed me off.

  17. it's because the two guys who played the horse were amazing...method actors from the states...they ate nothing but hay for 12 months before the film ;)

  19. I went to see it last night... it was indeed very good.! Black Beauty with guns possibly a good description. :))
Didn't think it was going to be that good it started like "Babe" and the way it was filmed as if they were recreating an old classic but it grew on me and when it got the WW1 scenes I thought it was brilliant. I'm a bit of War film fan so that's the main reason for wanting to watch it. I didn't think I could endure sentimental mush but the story was great. The battle scenes were well done Spielberg at his best not "Saving Private Ryan" gore but its supposed to be a 12 but enough to show the horrors of the Trenches. Uniforms looked spot on showing the difference between the early and late war stuff. Dint know why a Dorset regiment would have a Scots Bagpiper with them going over the top...but now I'm being a saddo anorak.
I can see why some people wouldn't like it but I was surprised and thanks for all the reviews and comments on here and yes I did :'( a little bit..
