Anyone recognise the part??

Just seen this on Ebay from VWH. I can't work out where it would go on a T4 engine. Could it be that l am looking at it from the wrong angle??

Its definately of a type 4, i beleive it fits underneath and provides the fixing for the two bottom plates.
The curved part slots between the cylinder heads.

Im sure someone will have a more accurate description.

 

It goes between 1 & 2 and the fanshroud/alternator. The hole top left is for the thermostat cable.

 

Cheers. I can see it now. I was looking at the wrote angle. The thermostat gave it away. It just looked really strange.
