Anyone lived/worked in Saudi Arabia

Every Brit that goes there is in their minds condoning their backward repressive barbaric medieval islamic state

 

Well i have spoke to them today about the money side of things, and we seem to have different ideas on whats an expectable wage package, so it looks like it could be a no goer
The wife was well up for going, and had read plenty on how women are treated over there, but we both agree that the money has to be right, no point going through all the upheaval etc not to be making sand bags of cash while we are there

 

yeh if you could have filled your pot , and set yourself up for life , it can be worth a sacrifice , but the family have to be sure , i nearly got killed in russia over money , so its not always the only thing to take into account . Oh well when one door closes another opens as they say.

 

Yep thats pretty much it, i was hoping to be able to knock a few years of my working life,
another thing is I would be leaving a job here thats well paid, as safe as any job can be, with an excellent pension and some perks

Ive spent a fair bit of time over there

The place does have its own aspects of beauty and gold is cheap
But the whole rich/poor social set up and there views on women dont sit well with me

 

The place is poisonous, leave well alone.

I just wish our government would stop Saudi Arabia from funding it's poison all over the UK

I suspect otherwise having known quite a few people his age that have worked/lived in Africa, that would pass as wit.

 

Obviously a typo, having worked there for several years, I have not a bad word to say about Nigeria........... pity about the people that live there

I have a friend that is permanently (9 months per annum ish) in Doha - my geography of that part of world is slightly worse than dire so apologies if it's nowhere near.

 

Doha is in Qatar - not quite as bad as Saudi Arabia
