Anyone know what type of internal fuse is in a multimeter?

  1. Managed to blow the fuse in my digital multimeter.
    Its a 250ma 250v glass fuse.
I can find them easily enough but they're available as either a quick or slow blow fuse. Not sure which type to get.

Quick blow, so it pops before anything in the meter. And as its a cheap meter using glass fuses, so you dont have to buy the £15 sand filled ceramic ones. I just bought a bag of 10 for pennies, wedged a couple of spares inside the meter housing.

Slow blow are for things like filament light bulbs that draw 10x current for a fraction of a second as they heat up.

  3. Cheers. 99p for 10 off ebay.
I had a feeling they'd be quick blow ones but thought I'd check.
