Bit of a random question I know but.............. I have entered next years Devices-Westminster kayak race with a friend to raise money for a local child bereavement charity as said friend recently lost a baby through mis-carriage. Was just wondering if by chance anyone had an old K2 racing kayak kicking around they would be willing to lend/rent/sell. At the moment we are plannig to get through the event, but I'm sure as it gets closer we will be wanting to 'race' as we are both very competitive!
Hey HorTs, yeah we found one thanks. Training is going very slowly! I have done quite a bit of kayaking in the past but did not appreciate just how different and unstable a K2 racing kayak is! Still, we will muddle through! First 'warm up' race is in beginning of feb so all starting to happen now. Watch this space for sponsorship requests....................

Murray Marathon looks nuts! Need to have bonkers mates (and tolerant wifes/girlfriends) who are willing to do these things with you! I ran the Marathon Des Sables a few years ago, that was an unforgetable experience. Again for charity, my mum had just died of cancer so was raising money for Macmillan.
We certainly intend to try, but it will depend on Ms.T & her shifts at the hospital especially as she is the head honcho at A & E. I might end up just doing it with my mate if his missus is working as well.
