When I got my mum to do the upholstery in my van, we found this really good blue gingham fabric, 1.5" check, quite thick material. Unfortunately We only bought enough for what we needed to do, and I've never been able to find any more of the same fabric. I need some more now, which is typical! If you're doing your own upholstery, or if you're the type of person who spends a lot of time in fabric shops (sorry bekyip, I thought of you when I typed this ) could you keep an eye out for a cotton fabric, blue gingham, 1.5" check, (sort of thickness that you'd normally use for curtains) for me please? It's smaller, I'm afraid. I know this because Lizzie did me a pair of their magnetic curtains for my dormy roof: I need something a bit darker and with a wider check. The problem is that if it looks significantly different from the rest oft he upholstery, it'll look pants.
Yeah we only tend to come across ginghams in a maximum of 1 inch or much larger than what you want ...I will keep my eyes out for you though
Hi Baybirmingham, there's a really good (large, well stocked) fabric shop in Walsall (not far from where I think you are based) called 'The Hole In the Wall'; they have thousands of fabrics in stock and may be able to help. They are based opposite Asda, adjacent the old guild hall (at the top of the old market area). Good luck with the search, Shep
