    No tried them already.

No I've tried that twice, ruining a brand new inner sill in the process-I just can't get the runner to work smoothly.

  6. I'm doing a trailer project in the next few months and have a complete bay shell. Sure I won't be needing the sliding door runner panel. How long can you wait?

I'm guessing you haven't done this job. If ever a man made a mountain out of a molehill, this legendary, oft linked to part of Spooky's site must be it. He had the thing tacked on and off more times than I've had hot dinners. I never worked out why.

  8. I have done this job on a couple of bays, Spooky's was very handy for reference only i didn't use it an instruction manual! I was lucky enough to save the top lip of the track and use the horrible repair middle sill, came out rather well on both the doors worked and gaps were good. and there was no on off on off or bolts involved :D

  10. Fair enough, good luck on the search for a sill probably a nice job to do if you can get inner middle and floor section in one lump

I belive I may have sold the shell to Mr Lime. If it's the one, I'd think this bit is it quite good condition.
I have also looked in wonderment, then done it differently. Not often the top bit is lost unless you hack it off without realising a replacent can't be had.
Diddymen had the whole lot off, repaired and back on seemingly without too much bother (which I have to admit disappointed me a bit. :D ). From this we can learn that it helps if you spend ages and ages and ages over it and finely polish every part, seen or unseen.

I've sent lime79 a message so he may have what I'm after. I've been using diddymen's thread for reference but without the original part I'm stuffed-the original one obviously hadn't seen grease for a number of years & had almost completely disintegrated.

  14. Do you remember a thread on VZI called something like' should i have given up' i always found that a brilliant thread for information and inspiration because that poor bay started off looking like it had been parked in 2' deep puddle for 10 years, I forget the name of the fella who did it but the fabrication of parts was excellent, again seen and unseen.

  15. There isn't a van more rotten than mine but the step/top of sliding door track is made of 2mm + steel and mine cleaned up a treat.

If you don't have it that's bad news but I'm sure it could have been reused....

I've got a photo of the old one somewhere (well what was left of it) I'll post it up.

  17. you could try volkshaven, megabug or any of the other parts importers.

I've had some good body cuts and bits from volkshaven....not cheap mind you :D
