Anyone been watching the Tour de France?

  1. I've been absolutely glued to it for weeks - admittedly work has stopped me watching it live, and I'm probably driving my wife nuts because I've been incommunicado while the ITV4 highlights programme is on.

Forget the Olympics, if Wiggo can pull this off, it'll be the first time one of the Ros-Beef's has won the Tour, although the French seem to be warming to him now too......

Same here I love it :) Been watching it for years now, these men are super fit athletes and if Wiggins gets through todays time trial its all over, I never thought i'd ever see a british winner in my life time, Amazing, Froomes year next year

I love the tour - have watched every one since 87 - they get so many things right with the coverage - the commentators are always first class - though Sean Kelly can be a bit hard to understand!!

I hope Wiggins wins it - total respect to Froome for being a team player - I hope he wins next year!

  4. First time I really watched it was last night and for some reason I was glued for a while

  5. I absolutely love le tour, its the only sport that can make me get excitable. i dont know if you saw the program on itv4 on thurs night about wiggo, but i think it was shane sutton that said about these guys being true athletes. compare them to footballers who complain that they missed a shot because the ball was on the wrong foot.....when you get paid 70grand a week you should be able to use both feet! a cyclist might have a bad crash but still get back on their bike and keep going for it. pro cyclists dont get a big paycheck, they reallyt are in it because because they love it. and i love them and i love cycling. so there.

How dignified are these guys when they win, truly an inspiring sport contested by guys who can be killed or seriously injured at pretty much any time, puts to shame some of these guys who merely chase a ball about.

Have always wondered how other sports would fare if their drug testing was this stringent, especially when you choose to not attend the testing.
