Anyone been to Battersea Power Station?

It's all been done up, apparently. Must pay a visit sometime.

Sat on a deckchair on the grass by the river a couple of weeks before the building was opened to the public. Really fancy going up the chimney lift

Were there any pigs flying past when you went - is roger Waters going to play there ?

 

Might pay a visit, as the old girl is part of my youth (can actually remember when it was operating).

Can you walk along the loading wharf?

Sadly, the pig's life was short, after it broke free and headed towards Kent. I have actually seen it at a Floyd gig, tho', in their Animals days.

Turn left onto Battersea bridge road continue for about 2 miles until you hit Wandsworth road, turn left towards Vauxhall 2 miles up on the left is Harringtons, best eels in the sarf sold there

 

Not sure what the loading wharf is to be honest. But we did get a boat from there which took us to Tower of London. Stops in other places as well, and just tap your card (or phone) when getting on and off.

 

Meant the big jetty out the front where presumably the coal boats used to dock.

 

We used to shoot the rats there back in the day

 

Me and some mates tried to sneak in years ago to do a bit of UrbEx, but decided the chances of Something Heavy falling on our heads was unacceptably high. The place was falling to bits.
