Is this still available ? if so how much ?

  3. The front hinges you can see on the bed in the picture have an opposite part with a flat plate that you screw through the roof. You need to position the bed so it fits right and the headboard latch works, then crawl over it and mark the holes without moving anything. Then remove and drill and fix and hope you haven't screwed it up!

A guy on earlybay does a kit of all the parts for the front hinged roof, you buy the board and upholster it.

  5. I think he has packed up doing them.

  6. Thanks for the info on fitting, I take it you have fitted one yourself, did you use self tapping screws for the hinge or after you had drilled fit nuts and bolts, I'd have to remove headliner to fit nuts and bolts

    Cheers

This question has been asked quite a few times. I usually delete threads if the rules are ignored for too long

  14. I bought the kit of parts and made up the wood parts. The kit is comprehensive, but the instructions did leave a bit to be desired. Self tappers came with the kit and work fine.

The only problem I found was with the side latch fittings. These are screwed into the wood with self tappers and take quite a lot of load when holding up the bed, so I didn't trust them not to pull out. I use a webbing strap to hold the bed up when using the pop top, which works well.

  15. Have you a photo of that in operation, as interested to see how you arranged that.
