Any Waeco CR50 Fridge Users?

  1. I just decided to switch from a RM123 fridge to a Waeco CR50 jobbie as it will last a lot longer on 12v and my 3 way was never plumbed for gas.

Just taken delivery and a bit baffled by instructions about the condensation drain outlets. It says there are a choice of 2 (which there are) and that you should choose one, pierce it with a sharp thingy and connect a hose to the outlet. Elsewhere it implies you can use the supplied drip tray instead (which is my preference).

Anybody Waeco devotees out there able to tell me how they dealt with this? Drip tray or hose?

    Cheers

I used the drip tray way and have had no issues
be a time since i fitted it but i think its above the compressor so the heat of the compressor evaporates the water

  4. Cheers guys, drip tray it is. I found some stuff on the net that confirmed you can go either way and I don't want to drill any more holes than necessary.

Matty - I will PM you in a few weeks - you may remember you did some electrical stuff for me about a year ago (near railway station in Frome). I am in the process of gutting/refitting so will want some more of your magic to get me wired back up again once I am a bit further along.

    Cheers
