  1. No hook up or genny for my van

Im going for a leisure battery, split charger and solar panel mounted on the roof rack

Lighting will be low consumption 12 volt led strips
    Cooking will be gas
My heater is gas only no electric supply needed
No fridge ill be using a cool box instead
Ive a battery charger that charges aa to d cells thats 12 volt

So my leisure battery will only need to run the lighting and the stereo and charge phone and camera/torch batterys

I should be able to last more than a week easy offgrid with a 110 amp battery

  2. Mrs Fishtrousers has gas powered hair straighteners in the van.
I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that it looks particularly lovely today.

  3. Try one of these

They worked a treat in Port Stanley and provided hours of fun / exercise / swearing / sweating when they had to be re started as they used a crank handle (the fun bit was watching someone else trying to start it - 27.5 litre diesel with only a de compressor lever and a can of easy start as friends!)

After 4 months of working next door to one it blended into the background - sorry could you just repeat that I didn't hear you the first five times!

    How we laughed!

    NJtappers and steveagain like this.
  4. Hand cranked Fodens and Gardners...think someone made a fortune in the mid 70s flogging them off for emergency Gensets. Invariably radiator cooled...not a very clever idea for use out east.
