Check with your insurance company. Their policies are often as good as stand alone ones. Check the small print of whoever you go with.
Make sure you check for max dimensions covered and repatriation. Some companies don't cover getting your vehicle back to the UK....
If it's for a matter of weeks not months i'd rec the AA euro wide. Make sure you get the all singing one out if the three tiers though. Mine this summer in France was around 130 quid for three weeks. For that i got the van brought back, hire cars on both sides of the channel plus the remaining four nights of the holiday in hotels. They also have a designated English speaking hub in Europe which means everyone can understand everyone else which in times of stress is a blessing.
