Any recomendations for campsites in Colwyn Bay/Prestatyn?

    I usually do Mid Wales Barmouth/Aberystwyth etc but this weekend i'm gonna try North Wales, anyone recommend anywhere decent? Ta.

    cheers dave, i'll look later, the only reason i'm going that way is for a change i usually go Aber Llangollen Barmouth etc but thought i'd go up and across back the other way, i might even pop to Rhyl i've not been there for 20? years.....

    i had heard that, i'm thinking colwyn bay/conwy fri night then prestatyn sat - probably the haven site as i liked that when i stopped there about 5 year ago, i toyed with greenacres/black rock sands in porthmadog but i been there loads although not yet in the van.
     
  6. I don't know of any sites but don't miss the great orme at Llandudno or Conwy if you get time.

  12. Rhos on Sea campsites lovely rick plus your only round the corner from Llandudno - better than Rhyl ,and Conway ,castle and great fish and chips :)

  14. I would stick to Conwy, Llandudno and Rhos on sea , Rhyl is a hole and there a few campsites around Prestatyn but none that I have stayed at

    Talacre beach is a lovely spot to visit and the Travellers Inn on the a55 is on the list that allows pub stop overs plus the son of the owner is a Beetle owner and has had North Wales VW club meets at the location

    I can recommend this campsite I stayed here in April and walk up snowdon from the camp well worth doing and the camp site is nice and clean too and wasn't a bad price and let me know next time you come to aber so I can have a nose at your van because I've seen it on the see front in aber!
